Errors on Zappos.com Sister Site Means Good Deals
Business

HENDERSON, Nev. -- Henderson-based Zappos.com lost about $1.6 million after a pricing problem arose on a sister website, 6pm.com.

The company's blog says the error meant that most prices on 6pm.com were capped at $49.95 from about midnight to 6 a.m. Friday. Zappos.com says the mistake that caused the problem was in its pricing engine. The blog says the 6pm.com site was shut down while the problem was fixed.

The blog post from Zappos.com's director of brand marketing and business development says all purchases made on 6pm.com during the problem time period will be honored. Zappos.com was acquired last year by Amazon.com.
