Walmart Employee Arrested for Stealing $250,000 from Store

HENDERSON, Nev. -- Henderson police officers have arrested a Walmart employee for stealing about $250,000 in merchandise and selling the goods on eBay.

Police say 31-year-old Jeromie Michener was booked into the Henderson Detention Center Tuesday on theft and burglary charges. Michener resigned from the store Tuesday morning.

Police say Michener stole computers, video game systems, televisions and portable GPS systems.

Police say Michener set up a storage unit to keep the stolen items before shipping them out. When detectives searched the storage unit, they found 54 portable GPS systems and video game merchandise.

Detectives also found a binder with shipping records showing more than 150 items shipped in the past two months.
