2 arrested for attempting to burglarize a home |

Henderson Police said it arrested two people who attempted to burglarize a home early Friday morning.
Taylor Goodman, 22, and Shawn Erickson, 26, were arrested for the crime.
According to police, the incident happened just after midnight in the 60th block of Incline Village Court when an unknown man, later identified as Erickson, was spotted inside the garage of a home.
The suspect fled on foot after being confronted by the homeowner. Henderson Police said as officers were searching for the suspect in the neighborhood, a vehicle without its lights on was seen leaving the area.
Police tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver, later identified as Goodman sped away.
The driver traveled south on South Valle Verde Drive before getting onto Interstate 215 West. Henderson Police said the driver lost control and hit a concrete barrier, causing the front tire to go flat.
Officers continued following the vehicle, which ended up exiting onto the northbound lanes of North Green Valley Parkway. Goodman then struck a curb at Pebble Road and North Green Valley Parkway, police said.
Henderson Police said the suspects took off on foot and ran into the Corporate Circle professional building complex and the neighboring apartment complex.
A perimeter was established by Henderson Police and Metro Police to search for the suspects. Eventually, both Erickson and Goodman were caught and taken into custody.
The suspects are being held at the Henderson Detention Center. Charges include but are not limited to burglary, trafficking schedule one controlled substances, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy for burglary, resisting a public officer and reckless driving.
Both suspects have criminal histories including burglaries, possession of stolen property and vehicles. Erickson is also a four-time convicted felon.
