31 displaced by apartment fire in Henderson, Red Cross says

Thirty-one people were displaced following an apartment fire that affected nine units in Henderson Tuesday. The American Red Cross says it's assisting those displaced.

The fire happened near N. Major Ave & Burkholder Boulevard.

Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers say they will meet with the residents to ensure everyone has a safe place to sleep and has food, clothing, medication and other essentials.

Over the next several days, Red Cross client casework volunteers will stay in contact with the family and provide referrals, as they begin their road to recovery.
