Police seek public's help in 2016 stabbing, carjacking

Henderson Police are seeking help in an ongoing investigation into the carjacking and stabbing of an Uber driver in Dec. 2016.

The driver suffered severe injuries to his neck and is still recovering.

According to police, the incident happened on Dec. 14 around 10 p.m. at the Equestrian apartments located at 10701 Eastern Avenue.

The Uber driver had gone to that address to pick up a ride when the suspect slashed his neck and stole his car, which was a gold Chevrolet Captiva, police said.

The car was later recovered.

The suspect is described as a white man with blue eyes and blonde hair, around 25 to 30 years old, between 5-foot-10 inches and 6-feet tall, weighing around 150 to 175 pounds. The man had a red tattoo under his right wrist.
