Henderson Police look for more information that will lead to arrest in elderly woman's death

Police are asking for the public's help in the recent homicide of an 84-year-old Henderson woman.

On July 6, at about 10:30 a.m., Henderson Police and Fire responded to a structure fire at an apartment complex located at 501 E. Lake Mead Parkway. Emergency responders found the woman inside a burning apartment with apparent trauma to her head and face.

The victim was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital - De Lima Campus where she died from her injuries.

The identity of the victim and cause and manner of her death will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office at a later date.

This is the 5th homicide investigated by Henderson Police in 2018.
