NDOT's $2.4M Boulder Highway Bridge upgrade starts March 18 in Henderson

The Nevada Department of Transportation will begin its $2.45 million bridge reconstruction of the Boulder Highway (State Route 582) exit over northbound Interstate 11 on March 18 in Henderson.

The two-lane 204-foot long bridge is being demolished and rebuilt with a new concrete cast-in-place box girder structure due to damage suffered from soil settling.

As a result, the northbound I-11 offramp to Boulder Highway will be closed during construction, with traffic being rerouted onto College Drive. (Wagonwheel Drive is another suggested alternative route).

NDOT says motorists can also expect lane restrictions in both directions along Boulder Highway between Horizon Drive and Wagonwheel Drive, with a reduced speed limit of 35 miles per hour through the construction work zone.

Additionally, there will be no left turn from Calle Bonita onto southbound Boulder Highway.

Crews will be working from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, through August 18.
