The city of Henderson will again bring a taste of the islands to the Henderson Events Plaza.

The city will be hosting the annual Prince Jonah Kuhio Ho'olaule'a Festival from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The festival is one of the largest Hawaiian and Pacific Islander celebrations in southern Nevada. For two days, people can enjoy island culture, customs, food, music, dance and hospitality.

Admission is complimentary.

The event is expected to bring 40,000 people from around world to the Water Street District. A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Las Vegas Hawaiian Civic Club scholarship programs.

There will be live entertainment on two stages, commercial vendors, and food choices. There will also be demonstrations of traditional crafts and keepsakes.
