Firefighters Rebuild Home for Family in Need

Firefighters Rebuild Home for Family in Need

Henderson Firefighters proved they don’t just stop fires. They can also build houses.

Fire crews gathered Friday to help a Henderson family repair and rebuild their home. The firefighters chose the Brimhall family. Donna Brimhall is a breast cancer survivor who remains disabled. Harold Brimhall works at a local service station. They have a 22-year-old son with Down syndrome.

"It gives us peace of mind that nothing is going to happen. Nothing is going to totally break down and there's a big bill to have to pay," the Brimhalls said.

This is the second time the Henderson Professional Fire Fighters and Henderson Fire Fighters Benevolent Association have joined forces to help a Henderson family in need. They cleaned up the outside of the house and worked on items inside as well like the electrical system. The family received all new appliances, toilets and roof work.
