A Henderson man made a plea deal with prosecutors in murder case.

A 23-year-old Henderson man on Friday pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter with use of a deadly weapon for fatally shooting a woman in October.

Three suspects arrested in series of robberies in Henderson and Las Vegas

Three suspects are under arrest in connection with a series of robberies in Henderson and Las Vegas over the past month.

Henderson police arrested 25-year-old Andre Hall, 26-year-old Christopher Dobbins and 27-year-old Dominque Wells on charges of robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and first-degree kidnapping.

The arrests came after police say two of the suspects entered the GameStop at Boulder Highway and Major Avenue at around 3 p.m. Thursday, July 3. Police say one suspect pulled out a gun and ordered three of the employees into the back room, where they were tied up.

The suspects took several gaming systems and an undisclosed amount of cash. They left the store and got into a car driven by the third suspect, police said.

Henderson Police looking for men who robbed sandwich shop

Henderson Police are looking for two men who robbed a Subway sandwich shop Tuesday evening.

According to police, the men walked into the shop at College and Horizon drives at around 10 p.m. One man had a shotgun and the other had a handgun. The men took money from the cashier and a customer.

No one was hurt.

The suspects are both described as black men between 18 and 24 years old. They are both about 6 feet with slender builds. One man was wearing a gray hoodie pulled over his head, black pants and black shoes. The second man was wearing a black mask, gray long-sleeved shirt, black shorts, white knee socks and black and white shoes. The second man was also carrying a red bandana.

Henderson Police arrest man in connection with home burglaries

Henderson Police and Metro Police have arrested a man in connection with a series of  home burglaries in both Henderson and Las Vegas.

According to police, 36-year-old Michael Hoffman was arrested March 25 after crime scene analysts connected him to a Las Vegas burglary scene through DNA. His DNA profile was already in the system because of an extensive criminal history.

After he was arrested, police searched his home and found evidence linking him to home burglaries around southern Nevada. They also found his red Ford F-150 pickup truck, which witnesses reported seeing in the areas of the burglaries.

Police say Hoffman would enter through the back of the house and grab whatever he could find in 20 to 30 seconds. He stole items that were small and easy to carry, like jewelry and cash.

Police say attempted-robbery suspect struggled with clerk

Henderson Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a convenience store near Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Parkway.

According to police, the man walked into the store at around 5 a.m. March 21 and showed the clerk a firearm, demanding money. The clerk resisted and the two struggled before the man ran from the store.

No one was hurt during the incident.

The man police are looking for is described as a white man about 20 years old, unknown height and weight with a shaved head. He was wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans.

Man Arrested for Impersonating an Officer

A Las Vegas man is under arrest on charges of impersonating a police officer.

According to Henderson Police, 44-year-old Lawrence DiVetro has been booked into the Henderson Detention Center on charges of impersonating an officer, burglary and kidnapping.

Police said DiVetro demanded a sexual favor from a massage parlor worker at Sunset Spa, which is located on Sunset Road. When the masseuse refused, he told her he was a Henderson Police officer and she was under arrest, police said.

He detained her, but eventually told her he would need to talk to his supervisor. At that point, he left the building and did not return, according to detectives.

When police found DiVetro, he had a gold badge and handcuffs in the seat of his car. He admitted that he did show the woman a badge but said it was to prevent a crime after he was offered sexual favors.

Man Arrested in Series of Target Store Thefts

Henderson Police have arrested a man in connection with thefts at two Target stores in Henderson.

Police arrested 30-year-old Harold Joseph Michael on charges of burglary, grand larceny, petit larceny, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools.

According to police, Michael stole several items from the Target store at 605 N. Stephanie Street and 350 W. Lake Mead Pkwy. He took items in five different incidents, police said. Small electronics were the most common items stolen.

Police are investigating Michael and believe he may be responsible for a series of thefts at Target stores in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas.
