Handcuffed Suspect Takes Off in Henderson Police Car

HENDERSON, Nev. -- Henderson police say one of their cars was stolen and taken for a ride after a teen suspect got behind the wheel.

Henderson police were investigating a burglary and arrested a 19-year-old suspect near Green Valley Pkwy. and Corporate Circle on Wednesday morning.

Police report they put the suspect in the back of the car but he was able to get his handcuffed hands from behind his back to his front and climb into the front seat of the car.

Using GPS, police say they tracked the suspect and car and found both about two miles away. The suspect is now facing additional charges of escaping from police and theft.
