Record Attendance at WinterFest
A new attendance record was set for this year’s WinterFest in Henderson.
More than 35,000 people came out for the activities at the annual Christmas celebration. There were visits from Santa Claus, carriage rides, carolers and concerts. The whole weekend ended with the first-ever WinterFest Light Parade. More than 60 floats were entered into the parade. The winners for the contests at this year’s festival included:
Parade Float Winners:
- First Place: McCaw School of Mines
- Second Place: Christmas Memories
- Third Place: Paradise Church
Parade Marching Band, Special Interest Vehicle & Equestrian:
- First Place: Foothill High School
- Second Place: Green Valley High School Marching Band
- Third Place: Coronado High School Band
Gingerbread House Contest:
- Best Individual/Family: Old-Fashioned Christmas at the Ranch
- Best School/Organization: PTA Families of Walker School
Festival of Trees:
- Empowered Life Church
