News

HENDERSON, Nev. - A teen girl suffered severe head injuries Tuesday morning after a vehicle hit her near Windmill Parkway and Green Valley Parkway.

The crash happened shortly before 7 a.m.

Henderson Police say the 18-year-old girl was crossing Windmill in a crosswalk near Green Valley when the vehicle, traveling eastbound on Windmill, hit her.

Police say glare from the sun may have caused the driver to not see the pedestrian. Alcohol, drugs, and speeding are not factors.

The girl was taken to Sunrise Hospital for treatment.

Police say eastbound Windmill will be closed for at least an hour.
