Burkholder Middle School dedicated a Kindness Preserve to remind kids to be kind to one another.

The garden was dedicated to Josh Stevens. Stevens was 13 years old when he died in a golf cart accident. Since his death his family started the Josh Stevens Foundation and the Be Kind program. The foundation and the program are dedicated to spreading the message of being kind to others in schools around the valley. On Thursday morning the Stevens family along with students who received the Be Kind Award will dedicate a serenity garden. Burkholder Middle school students along with Leadership Henderson Class of 2011 raised more than $10,000 to build the garden.  The school will also hold a Be Kind Multicultural night on Thursday celebrating the community's diverse cultures from 6 to 8 p.m.
