Tip-a-Cop and help the Special Olympics.
Police will being turning in their badges for serving trays for the annual Tip-a-Cop event to benefit the Special Olympics. The officers from Metro, North Las Vegas, Nevada Highway Patrol, Henderson Police, even School Police will be working as waiters at Applebee’s around the valley to raise money for the charity. Last year's event raise more than $35,000 dollars.
Special Olympics is a free, year-round sports training for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Dinner service starts at 5 o’clock until 9 o’clock tonight. Here’s a list of the participating restaurants and law enforcement agencies:
