LAS VEGAS -- A Clark County grand jury indicted Michael Boyd Jr. on charges of third degree arson and seven counts of mayhem in connection with a June 9 bonfire that injured seven teens who attended a Basic High School celebration party.

The teens reportedly were attending a bonfire party at a desert location in the southeast valley on the outskirts of Henderson. Boyd allegedly caused an explosion after placing a 55-gallon drum filled with fuel onto the fire.

Boyd is in custody in the Clark County Detention Center on $215,000 bail and is due in court Sept. 24.
